D) in the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) is intended towards encouragement and recognition of original research by candidates in achieving new insights/ new findings and conclusions/ new methods of analysis of relationships etc,. It has Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) degree in engineering/ technology/ management/ basic and applied sciences/ interdisciplinary subjects relating thereto. It offers the (Ph. D) follwing courses.
