NATIONAL SEMINAR ON RECENT TRENDS IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION
Date : 12-02-2011
As everyone is undoubtedly aware, we are living in the midst of information revolution and innovation. The
changing world of information technology can be challenging to all of us.
Wireless networking has become more commonplace than wired networking. Many new applications including wireless
sensor networks are emerging from research. Bit-rate and quality of service drives novel research ideas in wireless communication.
One of the main strategies which are being proposed to achieve the demanded rates is the multiple input-multiple output
(MIMO) technique, which employs multiple antennas, both at transmission and reception. Also, Cognitive radio technology is a new wireless
technology that proposes a solution to reuse the fallow spectrum that has not been fully used.
