IIT Delhi and IIT Mumbai has been ranked 154 and 174respectively in the Times Higher Education list of 200 top higher educational institutions in the world.
Harvard University tops the list. While IIT-Delhi has jumped from the 307th rank in 2007, IIT-Mumbai has moved ahead from 269 in the last survey.
A close look at the survey shows that the two IITs did not make it to the top 100 due to two indictors, international staff and international students.
While IIT-Delhi scored 16 points for international staff and 14 for international students. IIT Mumbai could get 23 points for international staff and 13 for international students.
