The State Government is thinking of permitting all its universities to conduct courses of different streams like engineering, medical, arts, science and law under one roof.
At present, a university can only conduct courses that are relevant to its specialization. Some years ago, Universities, including University of Madras.
Had affiliated colleges imparting all types of courses like BE, MBBS, BA, B.Sc., etc.
