Colleges in city seek undertaking against ragging

With the Supreme Court and the University Grants Commission placing the onus on colleges to prevent ragging on campuses, several higher education institutions in the city are insisting that students sign an affidavit saying they will not indulge in ragging.
Anna University Chennai, has made it mandatory for senior students in all departments to sign a form that says they will refrain from any form of ragging and that if found guilty, they will abide by any decision of the college.
Their parents are also required to sign a separate form, saying their son/daughter will not indulge in the menace
