From this year onwards, lakhs of students aspiring to get into the indian institutes of management(IIMs) will be answering the Common Admission Test(CAT) online.CAT that decides the fate of thousands of students to the IIMs in either Ahmedabad, Banglore, Kolkata, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow will now be a computer based test(CBT). CAT scores are also valid for admission into several reputed management institutes.
The new version of the test will be conducted at the end of this year. According to institutes the new CBT will be candidate friendly,flexible in selection of the test date, have an easy registration process, provide a better physical environment for students and would be very secure as candidates require biometric identification and would be monitored via video.
