More than 12,000 academic stream candidates have failed to run up for the ongoing India Engineering Admissions single window counseling to full up government quota BE\.Tech, seats so far.
The number of candidates absenting themselves from the counseling process is 3% higher than the absenteeism rate registered during the corresponding period last year.
“At the end of the counseling on July 27, as many as 12,105 of the 53,898 candidates to whom we had issued call letters did not attend the admission process.
This works out to an absenteeism rate of 22.46%. Besides 167 candidates who came for counseling left without choosing any seat.
